24 450e CEL
So I just received my CPO 450e. 12,000 miles. Just had the CEL come on. Without the engine even being on. An out of state purchase. I guess I’m in no hurry to bring it in. Waiting to see what else goes wrong. I have a dealer close.

Only the ones that remain after starting should be of concern.
Are you talking about one that didn't go out?

All the check lights come on when you turn the key to position one, aka on but not start. It's a system check to ensure that all the warning lights are operative.
Only the ones that remain after starting should be of concern.

So if only one came on there's a real problem.
I don't know why you should be insulted if I'm asking troubleshooting questions. I'm trying to help. Okay don't answer and I won't try to help. 🫤

Your post wasn't informative. "One" check engine light doesn't come on when you go to the number one position.
So if only one came on there's a real problem.

All is clear now besides your CEL. Hopefully it's a fluke and it disappears tomorrow otherwise most of us would recommend an OBD2 reader or a dealer visit. It sounds like it's still driveable at least. Keep us posted.

I think it may have been confusing because you said "without the engine being on" so we didn't know you were driving on the battery vs ignition 1.

People keep suggesting an OBD2 reader but unless you have a DOIP one for 2024+ GLEs, your codes will be generic at best. You may get lucky and it throws something specific enough that won't require module specific OEM codes . In many cases, it means - call your dealer. If your dealer is willing, it can pull the info remotely when you setup them as your service retailer in Mercedes Me app.
