Hi all, we are finalizing our gle 450 order and need to know
1) is running board really useable, it seems narrow?
2) we have chosen Bahia brown leather, which wood trim will look nicer with that? black open pore oak or brown high gloss lime wood. The dealers don’t have the gloss lime in stock to see.
I think the running boards look good on some colors, not on others.
For instance, I think running boards look good and accentuate the chrome lines on medium colored cars, but look out of place with a night package.
I think my obsidian black car with night package looks terrific without running boards, but I think it would look silly with them.
When the 167 SUVs were introduced, they were introduced with gray, no night package - all Chrome. I thought the pictures then, especially when they showed Twilight pictures, looked darn good.
