Dash Noise
My dash makes creaking noises as I'm cruising down the road. Any idea how to stop the annoying noise? Sounds like maybe the dash monitor rubbing against something causing the creaking noise.

Six weeks ago, I noticed a creaking noise in my car. Though it was quiet, it really bothered me. For weeks, I tried pushing and holding different parts while driving and listening closely around the driver's dash to find the source. After all this time, I discovered that the gas pedal was rubbing against my all-season Tuxmat. I was convinced it was coming from the steering wheel or dash area! A few sprays of silicone lubricant fixed it. The issue started after my detailer removed the mats for cleaning 6 weeks ago.
I'm sharing this to illustrate how challenging it was to pinpoint the noise. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for dealers to identify similar issues, especially when I was so sure it was coming from the dash area.
