Mostly in Comfort Mode, only use ECO on long trips

Also why don't you test drive a new one. One that's not a loner, one that's a demo etc. This way you'll be able to see if it was that loner car or every GLE.

Dyno is outta whack, and the same thing asking for a drag race. Can you picture going to your dealer and being like " I need to drag races these cars to spot a difference"

The dealers suck ***, you need to push them, if you really think something is wrong.
How do you do a reset?

They did have different size tires. I think the loaner had 20's I have 21's. I know that will effect how the car rides, I didn't think it would effect the responsiveness of pressing the throttle.

Said to drive it in all the modes, etc. for a while.

Also, I usually start in Comfort, then when it's warmed up, in Sport+ for a while. Then back to Comfort before I'm home. Now I'm varying it more.

Anyhow, maybe yours just need to re-learn? I have less than 7K miles on mine. I think I may have gotten stuck in break-in mode, and forgot to have fun with it...
What do I exactly ask them to do? A reset so it re-learns?

Also, I finally started using Sport mode. While the car is much more responsive in Sport mode, I don't really like how it revs higher. One thing I noticed was that my Sport mode, kinda felt like how the loaner was but while in Comfort mode.

I found someone in my area that does dyno testing, but he only has a 2wd machine, I'm reaching out to others to see if they have one for AWD. Question about Dyno testing, if I have them test just my car since I don't have access to the loaner any longer, can they tell me if everything is fine? Would they be able to tell if anything is not the way it should be if they don't have another one to test and compare?

It most certainly affects responsiveness. Bigger wheels are heavier, so they have more inertia and are less willing to rotate from a stop. They need more convincing so to speak. Heavier wheels also means more unsprung weight, which affects handling and agility. Normal MB models have cast alloy wheels and they are damn heavy, so going up in size adds a substantial weight penalty.

To counter the weight penalty of larger wheels many performance models use forged alloy wheels, which are substantially lighter. You find those on many AMGs, but they are expensive. A good set of forged alloy wheels easily costs $10k and up. Just to give you an idea. My previous Audi RS5 had cast 20" wheels and they were damn heavy. My C63S coupe now has 20" forged wheels on the rear, 19" on the front. First time I took one of them rear wheels off I expected them to be heavy, so I tensed my muscles and squatted accordingly. Then I took the wheel off and almost yanked it into the fender because it was so unexpectedly light. You can easily feel the effects of a heavier wheel when driving.

If sport mode feels like you expect, you're almost certainly noticing the throttle delay inserted into the pedal when in comfort mode. I don't know if anyone has a coding solution for this yet. Drive in sport mode or mash the accelerator away from every stop.

Regarding dyno testing you can compare to the rated HP and Torque minus some losses for the drivetrain to your results.

I know that @BenzNinja can tweak the accelerator response because he does it with his transmission mod. You should reach out and see if he can tweak the throttle response for your car.

He was not able to adjust the response on our '21 GLS 580.

MB service centers have access to Xentry? (first time I ever heard of that)

One other difference, which I do think makes a difference is that my GLE has the sport pedals and the loaner I drove has the non-sport pedals. There for sure feels like a delay when I press the pedal until the car starts to move in response to that pedal push. I'll push it down and then a second later it starts to accelerate.

MB Service Centers better have XENTRY (they may call it Star Diagnostics). It is the primary diagnostic tool the dealership uses. You too have access to XENTRY. Check with @BenzNinja .

The delay in starting may be related to the automatic parking brake. I have to set mine manually, but it does release automatically when I put the car in gear and give it some gas. I think the parking brake sets and releases automatically on the newer cars.

It's not that same delay. I won't be parked. Say I'm at a light or even a stop sign, and I press I gas, there is sometimes a second delay from when I press the gas to when the car starts moving, or even if I'm already in motion, I press down on the gas further and it take a second before it registers and accelerates.

Right, some of the coding that worked on older vehicles to resolve this same complaint don't seem to exist in the 167 platform.

this is exactly the behavior of ours and it feels very unnatural and disconnected. You move your foot but you feel no movement and hear no RPM change so you press some more and then get a sudden surge of acceleration as the engine finally gets commanded to open the throttle blade as you asked it two a bit earlier.

Knowing what I know about electronics and signal manipulation I wouldn't own a Pedal Commander. I'm also not sure it would help as it simply intercepts the pedal position sensor and increases or decreases it in relation to its actual position. I actually tried simply applying more pedal input myself and was still not able to get rid of the delay, just got a larger burst of acceleration after the delay. With the 580 that's not exactly comfortable for passengers.

FWIW I also feel like the MB service centers don't really try hard. There have been a few times with my old GLE that I would bring it in for something, they couldn't find the issue until I came back and took a drive with the foreman and pointed it out to him. Once I told them "they didn't hear that sound when they tested? Are they hard of hearing!? because it's super noticeable" and then I go for a ride and they hear it immediately.

When you complain about an issue I find a lot of times they won't even test drive the car (I put it in valet mode when I take it in for service). I'm assuming they just do a computerized diagnostic and if all checks out, then nothing is wrong.

Sounds like the annoying two stage oil pump solenoid taking its sweet time transitioning from low oil pressure mode to normal oil pressure mode... or it could be the turbo lag.

I guess they like to service vehicles that have very apparent problems and/or problems that knows exactly what it is, especially helpful if there is a stored code in the vehicle helping to pinpoint what might it be, it is especially helpful if said problem was reported before and there is an XENTRY TIPS documents guiding them, or PTSS case opened before. I guess it is also more profitable for them that way especially if they need to order parts and get reimbursed by Mercedes, than say diagnostics and trying to find the issue with nothing.
