First service appointment
I just bought my GLE 450 a week ago and now they are already scheduling me in for a service in 4 months? I am confused and would like thoughts on if anyone had their so called "first service appointments" that happen relatively quickly after your vehicle purchase.
This is a good car... and I don't think it would require service after 4 months? Especially if the recommended service schedule is once a year with service a/b that I've read. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming you got a letter/message from your selling dealer.
You shouldn't be due for service, but you might have a recall.
Call them and ask, or go to the NHTSA website, enter your VIN and see if you have a recall.
If there's a coupon, save it.

NHTSA shows 0 recalls on the website after entering VIN.

How many miles are on the vehicle? My GLE started trying to schedule me when I hit 8000 miles which for me was about 5 months. Service is supposed to be performed at 10,000 miles or 1 year. It is no big deal, just call the dealership and cancel the service appointment.

68 miles right now! Hence why I am starting to believe it is a money grab from the previous reply.
