Amber light while charging with Webasto

I have had my 450e for about 2.5 months now and I am not sure if this was happening since day one and I never noticed it or if it just started recently.

While using the Webasto charger with the 220/240 I am getting the amber light and blue light illuminating. When this happens the charge goes from around 7-3.5kw. I feel the unit and cable warm/hot.

I looked up the manual and the closest I can get is amber on and blue pulsing but mine is not pulsing. It’s states overheating.

just curious if this is normal? Are others experiencing it as well or if I need to have this checked out.

thanks

Hasn’t happened to me. I would check the outlet.

Amber and blue light

Hi, I just got my Gle 450e and noticed the same amber light with steady blue light on the webasto portable charger. Any answer to why this happens?
i wonder if it’s a fault on the outlet installation.. I had an electrician install 50amp outlet instead of 40amp.. the electrician said it would be ok.

I take it back. Apparently this is common. The charging watts also change all the time. Maybe it’s the heat.

Whenever the charger I use with my Tesla acts up, I recycle (reboot) the power to the charger. Seems to solve the problem. Worth trying with your Webasto charger.
