I have a feeling, that they made some pretty big changes in the 2024 MBUX software, which also introduced problems like the Bluetooth drops etc.
The subsequent MBUX version changes, fixed those problems, but until the vehicle goes back to the dealer and gets the new MBUX version, the (easily correctable) issues will linger.
Please note that in my case, the update took around 3 continuous hours, which is a massive update by any measure. The dealer (who has the absolute best techs in the region) was shocked at how big the update was.
I had constant disconnects from wireless and wired Android Auto connections on my 2024 GLE.
Updating the MBUX software from version RL_NTG7_E445 to RL_NTG7_E505 resolved the issue. Thanks to @Roweraay for the tip!
Glad it helped. I have been running my Carplay exclusively on wireless, since the upgrade. I have added around 2200 miles on the car since then, but not a single drop till now, post the upgrade.
Hello, I have a different issue. I have a 2024 GLE 350 SUV Canadian model. sometimes when I'm on the phone, all of sudden the music starts from Apple Carplay. I have to switch to music, pause the music to be able to continue my call. Anybody experienced such an issue? Thanks

I know that the 2024 GLE has wireless CarPlay, but after a few instances of the wireless CarPlay disconnecting in the middle of a journey, I switched to wired Apple CarPlay exclusively. Switched off the wireless option entirely. This is with an Apple 16 Pro device.
But even with the Wired connection, the Apple CarPlay intermittently disconnects. For instance, in a 100 mile trip, the disconnects happen maybe 2-3 times, during the trip. I then disconnect the wired connection, and re-connect it back, and the CarPlay will resume from when the disconnection happened.
These disconnects do not happen either in my 2022 E450 All-Terrain (where it is exclusively wired, and wireless is not an option) or in my little 2019 Honda Fit with a 6-speed manual, with a wired ACP.
Thoughts on this ? Similar experiences ? Is this due to glitchy software from MB ? Any remedies ? Thank you.

I have a GLE 350 and just went from an iphone 15 to a 17 and the 15 never gave me any issues but as soon as I switched, my screen would freeze and then disconnect its been a huge bummer so far! It’s literally been 24hrs and the issue has happened constantly! It’ll work for 30 seconds then freeze, then disconnect

There is an iPhone 17 (or is it iOS 26) issue that can drop WiFi and Bluetooth. Supposed to be fixed in an update
In your iPhone wifi settings try turning "ask to join networks" and "Auto--Join Hotspot" to off.
I have the same problem: Apple play being g kicked off where I must unplug and replug the wireless adapter in my 2022 Gle. Did you have the same problem and find this to resolve it?
I have the latest MBUX software and run IOS 26.1 on an iPhone 14 Pro. I experienced dropouts when the vehicle was new. The CarPlay dropouts ceased when I purchased the data plan for the vehicle. I wonder if there is a connection?
