That almost looks like vandalism.

It was me while washing it. Went over it and felt very loose. I removed it as I knew it was just about to fall off. Undecided whether I should just get the double-sided tape and stick it back or just bring it to the dealership. I would hate to bring it in only to be told I need a new car...

Very very common on 2022 and 2023+ model year vehicles with this badge, I kept hearing about it on the W206 C 43. The "T" is very loose, I guess the W205 C 63 S also had this issue at one point but that was a one off (or maybe not, if you read the comments on the reddit post): https://www.reddit.com/r/AMG/comment...from_my_turbo/

They must be desperate if they sell you a car based on that, that said, you should bring it in, it is a design flaw, the adhesive used on the T is much weaker, they can replace it under warranty. Or you could always order a replacement and change it yourself after using goo gone on the rest of the badge, especially if you are like me that hates dealerships.

Exact same issue happened on my 2022 a couple years ago. I used this and it has held on fine over many washings:

So the "T" does NOT have the tape go out to the edges, therefore, any thing going over the emblem such as a towel MAY get snagged on the tips which is exactly what happened in my case. over time this will loosen it. I called the dealership and was told NOT covered under warranty. Don't feel like fighting over it. I went ahead and ordered the adhesive and will just put it back on after cleaning and prepping the area.

After I set the letter into place I just held it on for a few hours with some blue painters tape to make sure it got a good grip and I've had zero issues with it for several years now- it sticks/performs like one would think an automotive emblem adhesive would.

*also I cannot take the credit for recommending this adhesive because if I remember correctly I found out about it through one of the other threads on this forum a few years ago- might have been posted by @mikapen? Can't recall. But I was grateful to have learned about it. Fixed my issue quickly.

The lower part of the "C" in 4Matic on my GLE came loose. It cracked off. I glued it back on with Clear Gorilla Glue. So far so good, but the other letters feel a little loose too. They appear to be installed with double sided foam tape.

They should had also used 3M tape though, I mean at least it seems so from their factory assembly videos, they use a machine to press and align the badges.
