Strange Noises

I bought a new 2025 GLE450 at the beginning of the year and unfortunately this car has been riddled with issues pretty much since taking delivery of it.

One thing that has always struck me as odd is how noisy it is while idling while in park. For instance, let's say I pull into a parking lot and put the car in park....unless I immediately put the parking brake on, I hear multiple pops, knocks, and thumps all over the place especially from the exhaust.

Another issue is an intermittent one, or at least one that I can't always replicate. More often than not when the car is warm, hard braking or sudden braking will result in a knock/clunk felt through the steering wheel or in the footwell area. It only happens if the braking style is hard enough to put some weight on the suspension. It's not overly prominent, but definitely obvious enough to notice and to come off as abnormal. I've tried to figure out how to always replicate it, but I can't seem to find a consistent trigger. It almost feels like a loose suspension element? I mentioned it to the dealer and they said the brake pads were faulty. They replaced them, but the issue is exactly the way it was.

Does anyone else experience anything even remotely similar? I'm wondering if these are things I should add to my never ending list of things to bring up to the dealer.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

I'm not entirely sure. I wonder how in depth they went into it. I believe they may have just assumed it was the brakes and that's why they changed them.

They have something called chassis ears which they can pinpoint the noise in the exact location but unlikely they used that?

Yes, driver's side. It seems to be getting worse lately. It used to be only after a long day of driving, but recently it's been acting up practically as soon as I start driving. I'm going to bring it in again. Hopefully they can pick up on it.

What was your daily driver prior to the GLE?
