Two beeps?

My GLE580 occasionally sounds two 'beeps'. No other indications of an issue... Trying to understand what it is trying to tell us.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like pre-safe pre collision assist. Or if you signal if a car is in your blindspot, if both isn't it, record the sound.

.
Might be the audible warning when you exceed the speed limit. Does your dash show the speed limit sign flashing at the same time as the beeps? There's a setting for it somewhere.

My '22 GLE450, ramdomly, does this. Sometimes it does it as soon as I enter vehicle, other times, it will repeat several times during a 40 minute ride. It makes no sense. I know other GLE owners who experience the same issue. It is nothing that can be replicated at the dealership, since it happens so ramdomly. It is a different sound than any of the saftety warning sounds.

No, I don't have that feature.

And we do occasionally get the red triangle dashboard icon about collision warnings (I think our sensors seem to be far too sensitive), but these two beeps occur with no other signal. Oh, well, not critical....

OK, here's another idea. I remember having annoying beeps seemingly out of nowhere a few years ago. Took me a while to figure out. On the MBUX home screen, click on the messages icon on the top right. In there, there are some notification settings that you don't find elsewhere. In my case, I had some alerts (not from the car itself, but from some radio station or regional sms alerts or something). Fiddle around there and delete any outstanding alerts and disable audible messages. See attached example.

MIght not apply in your (OP) case, but in my MBUX it always seems to be weather alerts or alert system test messages. I access them from the radio screen and then delete them when they come in . Always 2 beeps. Took me a while to figure it out.
