My OEM 22 inch AMG wheel fitment always bothered me the fact that they are not perfectly aligned with the fender flares.
So I just added Bonoss wheel spacers 12 mm front and 15 mm rear. No poke, just perfectly aligned. Now I'm just waiting on my air suspension lowering module to give it a perfect stance.
Has anyone done this before? Please let me know your thoughts on the best sizing and safety with your experience & photos.
Visually, I think it looks a little too flush with the fenders. It de-emphasizes the nice line of the flares.
I'd be concerned about wheel clearance lock to lock with full suspension travel. I tried measuring mine and gave up. It's really tight in there.
I was considering spacers but I don't like messing with stock geometry. (I need more front tire at the track.)
I think your lowering modules maintain stock geometry, correct?
Appreciate the thoughtful input especially how it de-emphasizes the nice lines of the flares.
The 20/40 lowering module I’m waiting on I believe maintain stock geometry. Right now the tire perfectly aligns with the fender flare so I’m thinking once I lower it the camber would slightly go negative for it perfectly tuck a little back in to the wheel well.
Only problem ever since spacers that I’ve noticed is that when I’m backing out of my driveway and turning at the same time, I hear this quick snapping noise from front left wheel almost like I went over a rock, and I can’t seem to find what it is.
