Parking Assistant - home garage
Looking at a new GLE 450. Can you use the parking assistant to get into a home garage? Our home has multiple single garage doors, so you need to be careful getting in and out of the garage. I know that the car will parallel park and it will reverse into a spot. Will it self-park into a forward garage space with the mirrors folded in?

I was able to pull in my old ML320 into the garage with ease but not with the new GLE. It has parking assistant with a red horizontal line displayed on the front video to guide me into the garage. However, it is just based on the steering angle, so not as precise for my side entry garage. Most of the time I ended up with the passenger side too close to the door jam. I tried a few tricks and ended up hanging 2 mirrors in the garage, so that I can visually see whether the beast is centered or not when pulling into the garage. It is fail proof and always works even without electric power.
