My 22 S580 has been plagued by this since new. Random on mine. It has only happended twice since the last software update "fix". They are picking it up this Friday to attempt to resolve again. Mine always "fixes" itself after being shut down overnight. It has never happended (yet) on my GLE63 though
There is this from the W223 forum that may be helpful. It has the TSB for some V167 in it

My 2022 GLE 450 does random other inoperative from time to time. Interestingly it always seems to occur after very cold weather or snow. It’s happened on two occasions since I purchased CPO around Thanksgiving.
It has been Adaptive high beam inoperative, left and right turn signal inoperative. The turn signals did in fact function, but blinked fast.
Each time, it’s lasted about a day and went away on its own. Each time I scheduled a service visit and they looked it over and ran software updates. Last time they replaced the Overhead Control Panel (OCP). We’ll see.
Figured I’d share even though my message wasn’t the same.

I did my first post last week (moving from 20 year history with BMWs to a brand new '26 Merc GLE 450 this week). I also considered a Porsche Cayenne...
In the history of owning Bimmers, the quality has been excellent, and I've driven a lot, with the exception of our latest '23 X3M40i. Fit and finish have been perfect, but software glitches have been plaguing us and it's driving us crazy. I've read a lot about Mercedes and Porsche quality before jumping brands and my overall conclusion is that every car maker is beginning to suffer more and more with software gremlins - with so much tech in the cars it's just inevitable.
What I am hoping for most is that we don't suffer any hardware quality issues...

Tech dominates the complaints, and cars like the Hyundai that had engine and transmission recalls on almost every car on the road was lauded as top s in reliability. Car bad, tech good = high reliability ratings.
BMW just went to new models and tech, so I'm expecting a raft of complaints.
Don't get me started on Office 365 or Windows11.

My '24 is plagued with this. Sometimes just the image is blurred/distorted. The dealer has even changed the HUD unit, having to remove the dash, and it still happens. I am tired of making special trips for it and not having it resolved.
