So this is supposed to be standard on the GLE400 but MB decided to deduct $250 off the MSRP of my ~$70k car so that it comes with nothing. It sounds like I maybe whining but for MB to do something lame like this is truly comical when that LED strips makes a night and day difference thru the interior of the car at night.

I just got my 400 and i agree it really does make the interior pop at night. I believe i read somewhere that this was an issue with someone else on the forum also, maybe if you search you can find out how far they made it with the same situation.

I am not "defending" anything - but on the bottom of every spec/build sheet is a line from MB factory which says "Specifications and prices can change without prior notice" - and on new generation like this that's what happened - and dealers don't get prior notice that it happened as running change - some early/early this occurred and still was shown on window sticker - 2nd week forward it was indicated on the window sticker.. like you, dealer does not have any recourse to MB..
