Gle 350d

Motor Trend in its review of the GLE stated that Mercedes has EPA certified the 350d with the 9 speed. Has anyone seen or heard anything else. If I thought that was available in 2017 I would extend my bluetec for 6 months.

You can't please all the people all the time.... (Someone said that)
When the GLE was released, I went out cash in pocket to buy the GLE500e.
Seems a great thing according to the MBAP brochure.

But I am still driving the ML350d as the hybrid may be another year or more away here.

They are definitely not trying to please the American consumers as our neighbor up north gets both the 350d and 300d. Not sure why..??

Our neighbors up north gets their choice of vehicles and option pkgs chosen by MB Canada. We however are under MB USA. Through some surveys or focus groups, they somehow saw that the greater demand was for fuel economy from prospective buyers of the diesel. Who these people were, who knows. I guess those of us who prefer the 455 lb/ft of the OM642 were in the minority. Also keep in mind that with rising CAFE standards, a vehicle like the GLE300d helps to offset a vehicle like the GLE63.
