RF interference -UPDATE 4-7-16
weird issue just started. getting rf interference over the speaker on the dash. it's that light popping/buzz noise.
same noise i get when i have my cell phone close to my clock radio at home and i used to get through a speakerphone at work when i had a blackberry close by.
haven't done a lot of troubleshooting yet, but happens with/without cell phone on, with/without radio on, with/without headlamps on. it does NOT happen when you turn the ignition off, but power still on (radio still on too).
anybody have similar experience or ideas? thx, ron
UPDATE always an answer. this appears to be it http://broadcast.oreilly.com/2008/10...is-all-ab.html .
now to figure out what in the car is transmitting. anyone know if the Command and/or the Mbrace does auto updates? thx, ron

galaxy s5. not the phone as i turned it off (see description of events above). not happening today. lights on, wipers on, phone on, media sd on, auto climate control on. if the command/mbrace does auto update, maybe it was that. if you didn't play the audio on the link, try it. the sound is exactly what it does. ron

I have a gle and a Galaxy s5 also. I get static a lot when I'm playing Pandora and have the volume on my phone turned all the way up. If I turn it down about 3-4 clicks (pushing the button) on the phone, then I can turn the MB volume wherever I want with no problem.
That probably doesn't help you much but I do have an S5 and have not other stereo problems with my car.
Good luck.
