Lowering kits for GLE 63s
Does anyone know of a good lowering kit for GLE 63s that still retains a certain amount of comfort?
Also, does anyone know where some people get blacked out running boards??

Renntech has some kind of lowering module that works with the airmatic suspension. it isn't cheap though

check Brabus, Hamann, Lumma, and Top Car. But I think Renntech may be the cheapest.
H&R offers sports springs for the GLE coupe, but i am not sure if that will work with the airmatic suspension.

On the GMP website that carries all those brands they only list Air Lift Performance as the only lowering kit for the GLEs...

Apparently, the current renntech lowering module doesn't work for the GLE. There will be a GLE module coming out in a couple weeks. Will keep you all posted after I have something installed. Might just get the LOMO one since it seems like a better interface.

Are there any long term effect on the W166 suspensions when lowering it more than 1"? Assuming the alignments are done, any wear and tear issues?

As long as alignments are done, no long term effect to the car. The tires should have standard wear and tear.
Thank you!
