Car just came in and the dealership is working on tinting windows and clear bra. One issue I have is with the steering wheel. My C450 had an AMG steering wheel that was flat bottom. Even the non AMG steering wheel was flat bottom on the C450. I love this steering wheel. This one on the GLE 450 is completely round and not as thick. All other GLE 450's I have seen have the flat bottom steering wheel. What the hell gives? Cant go back to the website because they changed to 2017 GLE43 however they do show the flat bottom steering wheel.

Figured it out. Ordered the heating steering wheel which does not come with the flat bottom. If I would have known that, I would have ordered it without heat. Oh well...one of life's little lessons.


Just FYI...heating steering wheel is not an option for the 2017 GLE43 AMG. Same for the 63.

Heated steering wheel is way better, if you're located somewhere that gets cold. I knew that going in, and ordered the heated version anyway. It's great in the winter.

I guess you are talking about the Coupe version. I had my GLE43 SUV order with heated steering wheel. Mayb Canada is different

We have 2017 GLE43 coupe on order with heated steering wheel; build date Sept and delivery date late Oct. Dealer has provided us our build sheet confirming options. This is a must have option during our central Canadian winter. Enjoy your new ride.

Agreed. I also have a 2017 on order with the heated steering wheel (round). Mine will be a bit later than October delivery because we ordered the designo Porcelain/black interior and since they are made by hand they only allocate x slots for that per cycle. Dealer told me that so I do take it with a grain of salt. That said, they said it takes an extra 90 days for that interior so we are looking at delivery after the new year.
