Problems with Apple CarPlay
CarPlay worked just fine yesterday. Today, when I got in my car it no longer works. I've tried 3 different iPhones (5s, 6), with different iOS versions (10, 9.3.4). That leads me to believe it is the car and not the phone. Has anyone else seen any issues?

What do you mean it "no longer works?" Will it not find the phone, will it find it and not play, will the screen go black? What?
I had a similar prolbem (once plugged up it would not start carplay) and had to delete all the phones in the car and then delete all the cars in the phone and start over. It took 2-3 times of deleting but I haven't had a problem since.
Good luck.

My Carplay stopped working regardless of the iPhone used (6, 6 Plus) when I wanted my iPhone 6 to connect via bluetooth automatically.
I had to go dig around in the car's phone settings to reactivate Carplay, but it can only be done while in Park, which is annoying because it is something the passenger could do while the driver drives.
The auto industry should simply adopt uConnect from FCA. so simple to use, navigate customize, and program.

Once your phone is connected to the USB port (the bottom port) that uses Car Play, go to the car screen that says Telephone. Hit the button to get to the telephone menu and from there you will see the option to activate CarPlay. Hit the mouse or click to confirm.
One thing I don't like about CarPlay is that anyone can see your call history and read your messages, and even send messages even if your phone itself is locked. Major security flaw if you ask me.

Fixed
I tried my oldest daughter's phone and it worked. After doing a restore on the others they now all work. I have no idea what it was. The only thing I can think of was that it was around an iOS update push or something. That morning when I got in my car the finger print sensor didn't work. After entering my password I got the "get started" message. Very strange. I really didn't want to do a restore but I had no choice. While I was at it though, I went to the iOS 10 beta. I actually like this better, and everything is back to normal.
I'm a big fan of CarPlay, I use it all the time! Any new technology has its glitches and I expect it will keep getting better.

I’ve been having the same issue with Apple play in my 2018 gla, the Ford just charged my phone without connect automatically. And when I go to the phone option there is no apply play option. Has anyone had this issue and remedied it?
Or is this a I should bring it in issues

I had this happen to me before (on iPhone 7+ running newest iOS version at the time). I recorded it and took it to the dealer as an evidence (it saved me a lot of time convincing them) and they updated my system. I haven't had any issues what so ever since the update. While I was there i had them update my navigation map also.
If you need the video PM me and I can send you the link to my dropbox. They might ask you if you have iPhone X to blame it on Apple, so make sure you tell them you have iPhone 7 or older. Also tell them you have wiped you iPhone and reinstalled iOS and it keeps happening again and Apple support confirmed there is nothing wrong with the phone.
