Active Curve System availability on a GLE 43 SUV?
I'm trying to determine if Active Curve System is an option, included, or not available for the GLE 43 SUV (GLE43W4)
Here is what I know so far:
According to the website, it looks like it does come with the Airmatic adjustable suspension as an included feature:
"AMG Sport Suspension based on AIRMATIC Standard
The fully independent AIRMATIC® suspension features AMG calibration of its electronically controlled air spring-struts and Adaptive Damping System (ADS PLUS). The suspension adapts instantly to driving dynamics, and you can further refine its settings via AMG DYNAMIC SELECT. Automatic 4-wheel level control lowers the vehicle at higher speeds, and even further in Sport+ mode, to enhance aerodynamic efficiency and handling stability. You can also raise the vehicle for deep ruts or rugged terrain."
Now, it also says the following under features:
"ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM Optional Electrohydraulically variable front and rear stabilizer bars vary their roll stiffness based on driving speed and lateral acceleration, tightening during cornering maneuvers to help control body lean. Engaging the DYNAMIC SELECT Sport mode further sharpens their response. In straight-line driving and in gentle, sweeping turns, the active stabilizers relax, to enhance ride comfort".
Now, to make this more confusing:
1. It is NOT listed in the options when you try to "build" a car on the website.
2. It is NOT listed as an option in the dealer config guide which was last updated in September.
Does anyone have any definitive information on this or any other place I should look? One other thing I could do is at my next trip to the dealer, see if this is available as an option when using the "configurator" which is used to create a vehicle "build" for production.
Thanks!

Don't stress- I would recommend you buddy up with a knowledgeable dealer.
Active Curve is Option Code #468 - only note not avail 550e - $2,910 - and YES makes EXTREME SENSE to add to a build for a GLE43 SUV or Coupe..
On your dated DOG - should be about pg 24/25..

Yep, it's an option. It's on the configurator on the web site, the performance and safety tab.

Not sure why that is.

I was hoping that since it wasn't listed as an option for the SUV and the SUV has the airmatic suspension, that it would be included as a standard feature. Right now whenever I test drive that SUV (350 or 400) and go into a curve like on an entry ramp to a highway, it feels like the car is close to tipping over. Interestingly enough, I don't get this feeling driving a BMW X5. So, is it really worth the extra $2910 - will it tip, or does it "feel" like it will tip?

I added the Active Curve Option onto my GLE43W4 build. Production date is mid Jan 2017 with delivery March 2017. If I remember correctly the price of active curve was $2910.

I didnt add much. Wanted to save a little $$ since we put a deposit on the Tesla Model 3.
The thing that surprised me was night package on the GLE 350/400 was $300-350. On the GLE43W4 it jumped to $750. I dont think any additional parts were painted black.
Take a look.
