Congrats! I get mine next month. I actually had the same exterior sports pack option with the interior sports pack but you now have to get the black package if you want the exterior sports package and I hate the black rims so I couldn't get it. Was not happy but what can you do! What other options did you get? Below is my build:

2017 GLE350 4Matic
- Selenite grey
- Black MB Tex
- Black headliner
- 20'in 5 Spoke Wheels
- Panoramic Roof
- Illuminated Star
- Magic Vision Control
- Natural Grain Brown Ash Wood
- Mb-Tex and stitching wrapped Upper Dashboard and upper door panels
- Wood/Leather steering wheel
- Premium 2 Package
- Heated Rear Seats
- Three Zone Climate Control
- Parking Assistance Package
- AIRMATIC Suspension
- MultiContour Seats w/massage feature

By the look of the leather it is the mb Tex that comes specifically with the interior sports package. The regular mb Tex has a different pattern.

The napa leather has a way different pattern than this. After ordering my GLE I feel like I have a doctorate in GLE options and rules...lol.

I asked because in my country the interior sports package is always combined with the sport seats, that have much more agressive side bolsters, therefore are much narrower and for me a bit tight. This is the reason I didn't go with the AMG interior, but chose the multicontour seats and ordered the sport pedals as accessory from Ebay.

If you have already the GLE doctorate , do you know if there is any difference in the GLE's braking capabilities between normal and sports exterior. Apart from the different bumpers, the sport exterior comes with perforated discs and AMG written on the brakes. Is this only a visual effect, or it makes any difference in the braking. The perforated discs in case they are not bigger will not really affect the brakes in reality I think. I already ordered my GLE without the sports exterior package and I'm waiting for it between 20 and 30.01, but stil I'd like to know what I missed .

The sport package brakes are slotted and cross drilled which keeps the brakes cooler and more effective. I am not sure if there is an upgrade w the caliper and the pad quality though compared to the stock GLE. Do the non sports package GLE's come w slotted and drilled rotors or traditional rotors? If they do, then to answer your question,

the sport packages brakes will be more effective.

You are exactly right my dear doctor friend. lol
I have the MB TEX that is specific to the AMG Sports Interior package. The regular MB TEX is quite different.

Yeah that is how it is online still also but when they put the build through their program the minute you select the exterior package it makes you select the night package also.

With the sports package you do get the ventilated discs which does improve breaking.

You mean different as texture or different as seat design? As far as I have seen sport seats are available only with nappa leather, and they look quite different from yours. That's why I didn't take the sport package, I wanted real leather but not the narrow sport seats.

Both. The sports seats are different to the stock seats which is also different from the multicontour seats. Then there is MB Tex you can get the standard MB Tex without the interior sports pkg or if you get the sports package you can get MB Tex but it is a different pattern and also on the sport seat. Whether you get the napa leather or MB Tex it will be on the sports seat if you get the interior sports package. Hope that answers your question!

Thank you, I understand this very well. Obviously there is some difference between the european and american specs, because in Europe if you have the sport seats, they can be only real nappa leather and look like these on the pic, with red stitching in the coupe and white stitching in the SUV. The sports interior with MBtex looks like the ordinary seat.
Concerning the multicontour seats, I have never seen one by myself, will be able to see after two weeks when hopefully I'll get my new GLE. But according to my dealer they are visually the same as the standart seats, only the head rest looks different and they have much more controls, mechanical or inflamable as far as I know.
