Radio
Hello
On my 17 GLE 350 the radio keeps playing after the engine is switched off and we have to remember to turn it off manually.
Is there some way to configure the radio to be switched off when the engine is off and the doors are locked?
Thanks

Just push in the volume button to turn off COMAND, which includes the radio. Your car retains power after you shut it off to control things like windows, sunroof, radio, etc. To cancel this, all you have to do is open the driver's door.

Thanks, our radio remains on and playing, even after we turn off the engine, close and lock the doors. When we are finished with the car, we have to remember to manually push the volume button otherwise the radio will play all night.

do you have keyless go? if so, make sure you only push the start/stop button once. if you hit it again by accident, it goes to position 1, which leaves power on. if you have keyless and know that you only hit it once to stop the engine, something may be wrong with the electronic controller, which could mean other electrical items are also left on. as soon as i open my driver door, all power goes off (except exterior courtesy)
i would test it out. ron

Thanks for the detailed guidance. I do have keylessGo and the car is fully OE including radio.
I will confirm that we are not leaving the car in position 1 and otherwise I will take this up with the dealer.
Thanks again

Yes - if the COMAND is not powering down once you have opened the driver's door after engine shutoff = YES schedule a appt with the dealer - the COMAND system control programming has been corrupted or more accurately did not correctly install when programmed at the factory - nothing that you did/did-not do - I would say comes up in about 1-out-a-100.
Please note the reprogramming will take about 1 1/2 hrs once hooked up in the shop to download and you will be fine.

Thanks to everyone, it turns out that I was not pushing the stop start button quickly enough and I was leaving the switch in position 1. I did not realize that the duration of the button press was so significant.

I'm glad you got it sorted - too long push - gets sensed like double push - which means turns-off-then-turns-on position#1 - which turns electronics back on.
