What is the new recall about
So we went to the dealer to look at a red gle 350 4matic they had for sale. We were told that they just had to pull all of the 2016 GLE's as there was a recall they had to take care of. The salesman did not know what it was about but they told him it would be 3 to 5 months to get it done.
Any idea what the recall is all about? He said that they just got it last week.

It might be because parts are in short supply. Remember the Takata airbag debacle? Thousands of people were (and still are) driving around for months with the original defective airbags because they couldn't produce the new ones fast enough.

Well I check the MB site and it had the same recall for the power steering. I can't believe that fixing a plug would take 3 to 5 months. I wonder if the reason is the tech's are very busy doing the air-bag recall and just don't have the time to do the power steering?
