Hello all, I have recently bought a used 2016 GLE (Built in Aug 2015) and I have a couple of issues with it:
1- The driving mode is not showing in the multifunction display. One time I thought it was in comfort while actually it was in slippery and going 110km/h
2- There are some vinrations that I and the passenger can feel. The mechanic said that the engine mounts as well as the transmission mount need replacement. Is it possible ?

How many miles are on the tires? Tires new, replaced 3 months ago. Around 8000 km on them
How many miles are on the brakes? Same as tires, replaced at the same time
What service have you performed on the vehicle? Last service was what we call here Service B. Which is major service + transmission oil flush. Note the issue was experinced before the service
What service records do you have for the vehicle? 3 services before the Major service I mentioned in the point above. At 15000 km, 30000 km & 45000 km
Also I have read that in comfort mode the transmission starts from 2nd gear, but in my car it always start from the 1st gear. Is there any differences between 7G transmissions or should they be working the same?

D1 is selected in comfort mode upon a full vehicle stop, for example at a red traffic light, with a 722.9 and M276 3.5L non-turbo engine. Sounds like it is the same for the 722.9 and M276 turbo.

Chassis, many thanks for your replys. It helped clear some the issues I have.
As an update yesterday I did a service to the car and replaced 2 engine mounts + 1 transmission mount and WOW,, the car feels and drive differently it is like a brand new car.
I am amazed on how 3 little mounts can make a big difference
I cant imagine any instance where engine mounts go bad in 41k miles. There are cars with well over 100k with auto start stop on original mounts. Did you notice any defect in them?

I noticed vibrations in the car cabin. Took the car to a service center and they told me that the mounts were defective.
Can you post your VIN and also a photo from the outside of the vehicle showing the rear view mirror? Active headlamps use an optical sensor in the windshield. Coding is not an option if you don’t have the necessary hardware. Checking the other options on your vehicle using the VIN helps answer the question.

Thanks Chassis for the reply. My car has ILS which is a requirement for the heighbeam assist as per the link you have posted. So maybe it is a matter of programing and that's it
