Tailight removal help 16 GLE 450
Hello guys and gals. I was hoping that someone could help me out.
Someone backed into my friend's GLE and cracked the taillight housing.
Has anyone replaced one before?
She asked if I could help her change it out and I don't mind as I was a tech for 4 years another life ago lol.
I have a new OEM part already I just want to see how intense is it to change before i start taking things apart in the back.
I'm worried Mercedes has some nicely hidden fasteners back there and I don't want to accidentally break anything.
It's the passenger side taillight housing on the quarter panel.

Lamp removal seems not too hard. WIS says the side upper trim panel needs to come of, this looks pretty involved. Not rocket science, just need to remove many small breakable parts, without breaking them.
