Black diamond front grille?

Would like to replace existing grille with the black diamond style grille. Has anyone else done this? I am looking at something like this... hoping to avoid purchase of something that doesn't fit or is low quality. Any suggestions appreciated.

I put one of those diamond grills on my 2007 CLS550 and I think it looks terrific. I bought mine on ebay simular to the link pdhbenz posted. Installation was pretty easy, although the two lower clips were hard to reach and challenging to unlock. I don't have much advice about getting to those lower clips: maybe thin arms or attack from under the car. I did complete the task though.

I just did it on my 2015 ML but now cannot find the Mercedes Star to fit in the middle. I thought I could just transfer one from the original grille but it too small. I know they have several models the diamond grille on eBay with various prices. Some have all chrome cross bars, other have black and chrome cross bars( like the one in your link) . The center part of the cross bar on mine have a chrome insert in gray bar. Also, the round part that holds the star is the same mat grey finish. I wish it was all chrome or at least black.

The grill is not an exact fit. The diamond grille is taller. The factory grille has holes for tabs that are on the inside of the bumper. My grille did not fit these and since the diamond grille is a little taller . I just cut the tabs off and slid the lower part of the diamond grille down below the bumper. Not perfect but it works.

So far I love the look, just wish I had the all chrome cross bar and circle, but maybe it will look better once I find a Star to put in the circle.

Solution to 2015 ML350 Diamond Grill

I've replaced the grill on my 2007 CLS550 twice and the procedure is pretty easy. Here's a link on how to a YouTube video showing how to replace the grill on your 2015 ML350:
I think all the grills are all pretty much the same quality and all come from China. The main thing to check is the Mercedes center logo piece. Some come with it and some require you to use transfer your existing one. There are a couple of styles of logos so be sure yours matches the grill you buy to see if you need to transfer it. Here's a link to one diamond grill that should work for your 2015 ML35 from eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Diamond-Gri...EAAOSw9qFd8lpI You will love the new look.

Got it installed but looking to find the larger Mercedes Tri star in the grille, the star part of the OEM grille is too small.

Here's a star that is 183 mm. Will this one work? https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-2006-20...IAAOSw3OhcuJlo

Thanks Art-by -Art. I checked the site but it still was too small. but finally went to a OEM Mercedes parts site under 2016GLE450 and found the larger Mercedes Star and part it screws in to, It was very expensive so I took a chance and order it. My wife is giving me grief about driving the car around with a big hole in the grill. Hope all this works. I can say the diamond grille looks good on my ML350, hopefully I can complete the project.

Thanks for trying to help.

Black Diamond Grille installed in 2015 ML350

I know this is a site for 2016 ML and up , but I was able to finally installed my Black Diamond Grille.(BDG) on my 2015 ML 350. It was order from China. The BDG is the same width as the grille that comes in OEM grill but a little taller. ( not sure if this would have been an issue on 2016 ML, Not sure if their grille cutout is taller than 2015) I cut the 4 tabs that sit on the inside of the top of bumper which the OEM grille attaches too and was then able to slide the BDG down behind the grille opening into place. Not a perfect job but it looks good and works.
