GLE 350

Country of origin of stock Dunlop Grantrek Touring A/S tires

Is your GLE350 Dunlop OE tire made in German or USA ?
I bought a set of Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady tires (255/50/19) tires for my 2018 GLE350 4Matic SUV to replace stock Dunlop Grantrek Touring A/S. After reading tons of good reviews from about WeatherReady, I accept the recommendation at my local Goodyear shop. So far I have been driving them for 3 weeks. Compare to the stock tires, I found the new tires have significant louder tread noise (about 3~5 db louder at 55-75mph depending on road surface) and run 1~2 mpg lower on avg. So I am thinking to exchange the Goodyear for Dunlop.
The problem is the Tirerack reviewer have conflicting opinions. Dunlop is OE tires for Lexus RX350 and GLE350. RX350 owners hate them for noisy ride but GLE350 owners love them for quiet ride. I also found the tires can be made in USA and German so the quality varies. Is your GLE350 Dunlop OE tire made in German or USA ?

The Dunlops on our 2019 GLE400 were made in the USA.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought these Mercedes MO Dunlop tires were made in Germany and special.
As I mentioned these Goodyear tires are noticeably louder than my stock Mercedes MO Dunlop tires and dropped my MPG. I need to raise my voice during conversation or turn up music volume when I drive above 40mph.

If tread noise matters to you, I would suggest avoid Goodyear as the selection is very limited for 255/50/19 tire size. I purchased the best rated Goodyear tires available for my GLE but now thinking to exchange for the stock Dunlop.

I had 08 ML 350 with Goodyear Weatherready (255/50/19) and had no issue with noise nor gas mileage.
I'm planning to replace my 17 GLE 350 with Goodyear after this Dunlop wears out.

2016 GLE 350 4-Matic

I purchased Goodyear Weatherready tires for my 2016 GLE 350 and have about 40,000 miles on them. I have not noticed any additional noise or decreased mileage.
