US-manufactured 2016 GLE 350 Nav Update
Hello everyone! New to the MBWorld forum and have a question.
I shipped a 2016 US-manufactured 2016 GLE 350 to Germany and would like to get European maps loaded on the nav system. The dealership where I had it serviced indicated this is not possible. Is that true and if so, why?

All GLE350 vehicles are produced in the US. Try calling 3 more dealers. M-B dealers it seems, unfortunately, are positively unhelpful with owners seeking to service their own vehicles, or maintain vehicles to high mileage. This seems to be the case in your situation.
It could be a software key or electronic compatibility issue with the COMAND infotainment unit. It could be that European maps cannot be downloaded to a COMAND unit linked to a US-market VIN.
