2017 GLE 350 RWD SUV (Premium 1, Parking Assist Package, H-K, I regret not getting Premium 2!)
Talking Anyone had any experience with these Kumho Crugen tires on a GLE?

I just got these tires to replace all four on my 2017 GLE350 RWD: https://www.americastire.com/buy-tir...n-kl33/p/29023

Has anyone else had experience with these tires and does anyone know if they last as long as they say they will? There is a 60,000 mile warranty. I got these tires because they were the cheapest I could find in this size, and frankly I didn't want to sink more money into tires. The stock Continentals had a 50k warranty but they did not last that long (probably because the car is so heavy).

I think you're a bit behind... you already bought the tires and now want a review? tires are the only thing that connects your vehicle to the road, so tires, along with brakes, are two purchases I weigh quality a higher priority over price... that doesn't mean you have to buy the most expensive, but do homework.

just a quick search found many disappointed... noisy, poor wear, marginal wet traction... originally made for a much smaller lighter crossover rather than a heavier truck like SUV like GLE.

based on a quick search of reviews I would not put them on my GLE.

Seems like you should have asked those questions before you purchased. No tire will get the the advertised mileage. It's only an estimate.

Frankly, if a well known top tier tire maker like Continental didn't perform to expectations why expect a 3rd or 4th tier tire make to be better?

As others have said it stinks that you bought these before doing research but that's something that happens sometimes. Discount tire has a pretty good guarantee I think also if you are unhappy with them. If tires aren't something you need to do right away I would suggest going with Costco and Michelin tires. I just finished responding to a Michelin post and am personally a fan of their products. I saw wait if you can because Costco goes back and forth in offering discounts on Michelin and Bridgestone tires. Currently Bridgestone is on sale and I can't recommend anything they offer, in fact the opposite. I've always been disappointed when using their tires. If you aren't a Costco member you can still wait and get a set of 4 Michelin price matched at discount tire co. Quick math shows decent Michelin's at costco for a set of 4 mounted at around 830. That's everything including your TPMS and tire recycling fees. If you get the $110 off that makes it $720 (actually slightly less because of a lower tax if your state has sales tax). The discount tire has everything in at $530. I understand that $190 is more than another one of the tires you just purchased but I would say for your comparison think about the cost difference over 4 years (assuming you drive 15k per year) and it's just under $4 a month. To me that difference is worth going for the nicer tire purely from a safety point of view, not comfort. If it's not worth it to you than you made the right choice. As I said I believe discount tire has a pretty good return policy. I would just confirm that before you get anything mounted and make sure that you can exchange for a different brand they carry in case you don't like what you have.

*I just saw from your bio you are in CA. So yeah sales tax will obviously add a chunk onto your purchase. For me up north of you (Bay Area) I timed buying my tires with a trip up to Oregon. It was an additional savings of about $80 (I don't remember my exact bill) but basically a 10% tax sucks when you are already trying to pick a lower cost option.

2007 GL450
Wink I love Kumho Crugens

I own a 2007 GL450 and drive it cross country from CA. I have always had Crugens on my SUV and have had zero problems out of them. They’re smooth, quiet and very affordable. Because I’m in Northern CA I don’t have to deal with snow and/or harsh winters so these have worked exceptionally well for me. When it’s time for more, I’m buying another set of the same tires and and going to put them on my S550 too.
