2016 GLE350 4Matic DVD 📀 player issue
I have the Rear Seat Entertainment System + DVD Option 📀. As soon as the 4 year warranty expired, the DVD payer started to act up, out of 10 times, it would only work once. I’ve tried different DVD 📀 but same result. I would turn it on, and it would say Disk loading”. Then after about 5 minutes “disk unavailable”. I would turn it ON/OFF, take disk IN/OUT, same thing. Only occasionally, it would load the disk and start playing. Drives me crazy. It would work fine, then as soon as I turn car off then back on, it wouldn’t work.
Has anyone experienced this issue ? I don’t know if something needs to be updated etc.
I also have the extended warranty but not sure if it would cover DVD player. Next time I bring it in for service, will bring it up.

UPDATE. Back from the dealer. They found a fault with the DVD player Control Unit and had it replaced under warranty. I’m glad they did, even though my vehicle is out of warranty. Coincidence!? I think not. Cover them tracks.
