Does anyone have a detailed list of what needs to be done for the B service on a 2018 GLE? The dealer wants 800 bucks for it and the car has only done a few thousand miles since the last service. The one year time out "feature" on the service indicator seems to be aimed more at driving service revenue than assessing the car's actual need for service.

Did you check the service manual? Do cars still come with them? Or maybe in the digital manual?

Yes, digital only manual which does not detail what and A or B service is.

Thanks. I found that document while looking, but it is from Model Year 2010. I'm not sure if it applies to a 2018 GLE.

@Floobydust Check the hard copy manual, the W166 vehicles came with them from the factory. Also MBUSA has manuals online. Also please use the search function as the maintenance booklet (document you are looking for) has been posted innumerable times.

Generally B service is engine oil/filter, wiper fluid, brake fluid and cabin air filter. To be sure, search for the manual and booklet. Additional mileage based service such as spark plugs or engine air filter are not included with basic B service.

Thank you, I will look at the hard copy version of the manual as well. My GLE did not come with a hard copy service manual - was it supposed?

I want to make sure I know exactly what needs to be done because I am going to have my Indie do the service and I don't want any warranty grief from MB.
