Bought my 2016 GLE 350d 11 months ago from Mercedes Dealer, it was a lease return vehicle.
Today I got my first Service B done at one of the shops. I asked a guy to check for the faults and he found a bunch of them...Does it mean that MB dealer or the previous owner altered the odometer reading?? Can anyone comment please? Need advise before I make a trip to the dealership.
It's weird, Carfax only shows service records and odometer readings that have occurred after I bought my GLE. No other service records or odometer readings are found up until my purchase. If a car is leased through MB dealership, I assume the dealer must report all odometer readings when scheduled maintenance is performed on a car?

first, get a VMI on the car from the dealer. that should give your the car's history during warranty...
not sure about Mercedes but there are instances where instrument clusters get replaced and should be reprogrammed with the correct mileage... it wouldn't surprise me if a cluster was replaced and not programmed and other computers in the car saw that as a fault...
check with independent dealer or escalate to MBUSA

Carfax (or AutoCheck) is good only if that dealership/facility/business reports what they have done. So not everyone reports. Even some dealerships don’t report. I agree with Whitewagon, go get a VMI (Vehicle Maintenance Inquiry) from the dealership. If the dealership will not give it to you (some will some will not), ask them to mark out the previous owners info or just ask them to read it and tell you about it. Mine usually reads it to me since I would know most of the stuff on it anyway. But then again, the VMI will only show what was done at ANY Mercedes dealership. The previous owner could have had something done somewhere else (Indy shop), not reported anywhere, and now the car is having all the code/faults.

The dealership refused to release any service records from previous owners, I called them soon after purchasing my vehicle. They told me that scheduled maintenance and servicing were performed at their location, because it was leased, it's the only info I got from them. Why they didn't report anything on Carfax I have no clue...Of course, if they replace instrument clusters at the end of each lease term why would they want to report the odometer readings, right?.... I'll keep digging into this crap until I find out what the hell is going on.

I wou;d fire off a letter tothe general manager and cc the State department of consumer affairs, also reach out to MBUSA,,, use language like "suspect fraud" Odometer roll back, etc. Google "Ferrari Mileage Rollback...

Do you own the vehicle with title in hand? Is the title "branded" with indication that it was in an accident, flooded, salvaged or a lemon?
Nope, the title is clean - not salvaged. Only one small claim (RIGHT SIDE COLLISION) shows up on Carfax that was reported by insurance company. The rear right side door was repainted, no structural/frame damage.
