Owner Report - Impact of Diesel Recall on 2016 300d

The work was performed with about 55140 miles on the vehicle. It took 2 business days during which I drove a 2021 GLE 350 loaner (which felt distressingly underpowered).
When I got my vehicle back I noticed right away that, from outside, the engine sound had little more clatter than it previously had (it was more of a purr before the recall work was done).
The transmission upshifts into 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th at higher speeds than it had previously, with the upshifts to 5th, 6th and 7th being delayed the longest. It is possible to effect an upshift earlier by letting off the footfeed briefly.
The fuel mileage has not changed - I'm still averaging about 26 in town and just over 30 on the highway.
I've noticed no other differences in the driveability. It's still peppy and performs well.

Suppose the engines use more DEF after AEM, but that is hard to measure, so not really confirmed.
My GLE after AEM uses 1 gallon of DEF for each 65 gallons of fuel. Do not have the statistic before AEM.

I was getting about 2600 miles per gallon of DEF. I haven't started measuring the consumption with the AEM changes yet so I don't have any data for that. My driving habits have changed too - I was doing a lot more highway driving than I do now - which may affect the consumption.
