2016 GLE350d wheel specs help!

Hey there, I don’t know much about wheels. I wanted to have a set of summer wheels in 22’s. I found a wheel I liked but i’m not sure if it would fit my 2016 gle350d. The picture has the specs of the wheel. If anyone could help would be much appreciated.

Almost all MB sedans and SUV have the same bolt pattern, so this part is easy.
Than compare offset to what you have.
This listing shows cone bolt seats, meaning you will need custom bolts.
Not sure if that will apply to your case, but lot of MB owners pimp them, (is that what you are doing?) so they buy low-profile wheels, when I was able to find OE wheels for the price of rubber on them.
Just start a search on CL, ebay and other sites and wait for the results.

Wheels will fit. Will require correct length cone seat bolts (probably 28-30mm shank) and 72.6 x 66.5 centering rings (TireRack will provide all these items, if you are buying from them). The biggest issues I see (other than a small poke in the rear) is running 22x9 wheels will require very low profile for this SUV 275/35-22 tires. These tires are very expensive and more importantly are all at only 104 load, which means they would need to run with high 40s psi cold. IMHO 21" is the max for W166.

Hey, thanks for the help. I am open to getting 21” and that is what i’m currently running right now but the problem is that I can’t find the wheel I want in 21. I wanted the Gle63 double 7 spoke wheels like the ones in the picture. However, they are difficult to find in Canada. I am even fine with getting replicas I just like this style a lot.

9" wide wheel in 22" is limiting the width of a tire choice. I would look at wheels with not less than 9.5" width wheel allowing for 285 section tire or better yet 10" width wheel allowing for 295 section tire. There are (or were prior to Covid) replicas of those wheels on eBay in 21" diameter and width of at least 9.5".

Would you suggest 22x10 or 22x9.5 or am i better off with 21”? I do like the look of bigger wheels so that’s why i was thinking of 22” and I have found a 22x10 that looks similar to the wheel I want. These are just going to be for the summer season from about april to end of november.

In my opinion 21" is as large as W166 "needs" both visually and practically. But if you really want 22", then this is what you should get. So in 22" going with 10" wide will allow for 295/35-22 tire and at 30" diameter it fits W166 GLE with zero issues. The negatives of 22x10 are (much) heavier and more expensive both wheels and tires.

okay so other than the wheels and tires being more heavier and expensive. I should have no issues running 22x10 on 295/35-22 on the GLE W166 such as fitment or other issues

Also if i do decide to go with 21x9, 21.9.5 or 21x10 what tires sizes would i need (the prices are making me reconsider haha)

I like a bit taller than OEM tires to give me a bit more"protection":
21x9 (OEM size tire is 265/40-21) - 275/40-21
21x9.5 - 275/40-21 or 285/40-21
21x10 (OEM size tire is 295/35-21) - 285/40-21 or 295/40-21.

None of the quality 21" tires in above sizes are cheap.

I got curious if there are 265/40-22 reasonably priced tires available. Plenty. So yes you can run 22x9 et32 with 265/40-22 without any issues.
