2016 GLE450 Oil Splashed top of engine. Drips from the bottom.
Hey guys. New here. Thanks for looking. Any idea what this is? It looks like oil spills from the top, it also drips from the bottom as well. See pics. THANK YOU in advance.
I did check all the caps at the top and they are titened.
Looking at the pic, I think under the hood might have oil marks too. I am thinking it is leaking from that bottle and leaking onto the belt. The belt is then splashing it over the engine and under the hood. I do not know if you have ever done the engine wash, you can try that but make sure to cover important terminals. I have done engine wash many times of different cars which I owned over the years without any issue. Or clean the bottle from outside with a rag and start the engine and see if it leaks
That look like motor oil that's on the coolant reservoir for the bi-turbo coolant. Probably spill oil when putting oil in the motor or I know the camshaft leaks little oil from the cam plug or gasket.
