I was watching a Youtube video of a 2016 GLE400 and I notice his (owner) drive mode indicator showed up on the cluster right next to the gear shift selector on the cluster. My 2016 GLE400 does not even show up on the cluster. If any of you W166 owners have the indicator to show up on the cluster can you find out what firmware you have?

Do you have a drive mode dial (knob) on the center console near the COMAND selector wheel?

My owner's manual (p 153) says that "The selected drive program appears in the multifunction display. After five seconds the display goes out." I can't tell you whether that's accurate since my 300d doesn't have that selector feature.

Must be a COMAND change. My 2017 stays lit continuously. The vehicle graphic turns off after 5 seconds.

Mine don't show up like that at all. It's like there is no indicator light. I can take picture or video if needed.

My old CLK500 shows up all the time on the cluster.
