Wireless android auto dongle
Anyone using a USB android auto dongle for wireless connection? If so which one?

AAWireless, it works quite well but sometimes there are connection issues, I suspect that is because the dongle is inside the center console, if I open the lid the connection seems to work fine again.

I ended up with this
Android Auto Wireless Adapter CarlinKit A2A dongle... It was $50 on Amazon and got it working in about 5 minutes. Fits in the center console and hooks up all the time.

I use the CarInKit version for CarPlay. They also have one compatible with AA. No issues with it really. Sounds the same to me. Sometimes it’s slow to connect but still worth it compared to constantly being wired.

I was using a cable for a while and switched back to AAWireless a few days back and it has been working well now, no mentionable connection issues, just basic AA weirdness, for example, the audio doesn't usually work the first time the connection is made so I'll need to reconnect and after that everyting is fine.

I will definitely recommend carlinkit 4.0. It's very affordable and stable. 4.0 supports both Apple CarPlay for iPhones and AndroidAuto system for Android mobiles.

The Motorola MA1 works perfectly. I also just added a wireless charging pad in the cubby in front of the ash tray. Now you have true wireless android auto. Without the charging pad, you needed to plug your phone in for long trips (to keep the battery up) which negates the need for wireless android auto.
