Renntech worth the extra money?

I was thinking of getting Renntech tune. They are at least $1000 more than other vendor and their improvement in horsepower and torque gains are less than other vendors. Does Renntech tune worth the extra money? What difference in the feel of driving with their tune?

MB’s
It depends on what GLE you have. GLE350 I would say no it’s not worth it. If you have a 400, 43 or 63 then you will see serious gains.

I was planning on this but opted for a DinanSports tune. Very noticeable and much less in price...i have GLE 43.

Allot of Benz owner that I know are equipped with EuroCharged. My friend (shop owner) is pushing me to get one. Unless you have Force Induction you will see allot of gain.

I have a 17' GLE400 and went through various piggy back tunes (Dinan Sport, Racechip Black) then finally decided on OE. My current set up is 200 cell catted down pipes, Weistec VTA adapter and OE stage 2 tune. My car is a blast too drive. The increase in performance is incredible. Jeremy and the guys at OE really went out of their way to assist me. I would highly recommend them. Regarding the OE stage 2 tune, I can keep up with my little brother's stock 16' C43 - which is amazing since our cars are so damn heavy) and will easily leave cousin's 18' GLE43 behind. If you have a forced induction GLE, I would definitely recommend getting a tune if you are looking for more power.

I was wondering why they were more expensive than other tunes while seemingly under delivering as well. They have a good explanation on their site that their HP and LB-FT gains are measured against the dyno numbers they record on their dyno, not against MB advertised #s. They claim the cars areaking significantly more power than what MB says so that is where a lot of the difference is. If you compare their gains vs MB published #s they are close to everyone else, plus it's a piggy back.

Renntech is solid they are just extremely conservative and have a lot of overhead (hence the price)

We tend to get better HP results out of the tuning and are typically a ton less.

Just bounce me a message if you have any questions, we have some current sales that are quite nice

Does the ECU have to be shipped to you? Is the tune detectable by a dealer? How easy is re installing factory tune?

Usually, You ship out the ECU or take the vehicle in. They need to modified the ECU/ECM. Then they can install a map it's very easy to switch maps back and forth with the correct equipment's. I know company's will send you the files and I know they can now remote in to tune your vehicle anywhere.

In my old track vehicle's. I just plug up my laptop to the ECU/ECM and I load up my saved map files for street and track.

I love the RENNtech tunes and deal with them myself. Call in and talk to Mitchell, he was extremely helpful!

the 600s are ecu and need to be shipped to a location for tuning. (There isn’t a tech avail now to remote tune it)

yes we do ecus as well

no need to ship we can do it all remote. Yes the dealer can detect but we recommend to flash stock for dealer visits
