2017 GLE 350: Oil Change Question
Hi. I'm not driving my 2017 GLE 350 as often as we bought an electric car a year ago. But I do drive it to the mountains/hiking/camping. How often does oil need changed? Is it 10,000 miles or 6 months, whatever comes first? I'm at 8 months now and haven't hit 10K since my last oil change so wondering if I should get it changed soon. Thanks!

The Assist should be set to 10k miles/12 months initially, when the mileage usually gets extended while you drive.
The time limit is something that was forced by US lawyers around year 2000, when MB engineers never made such requirements.
My sedan puts low miles as well and I prefer to listen to engineers, not to lawyers when it comes to car maintenance, so I make paper copy of oil change and reset Assist after a year, without oil change. Than change the oil following year.
Sprinters with the same engines do have 20k miles/2 years intervals, but they come with bigger oil pans.

Thanks! To be clear my car is at 136,000 miles so I'd like to just get to 140,000 before an oil change. Sounds like I can do that just fine.

I am rare MB owner who sends oil samples for lab test.
Each time I send 13k miles oil sample, the Blackstone lab tells me I could do more.
136k miles total is not telling how much on oil?

136,000 and my last oil change was 130,000 but it’s been since August. When I was driving my MB more I was hitting new 10K mark post oil change well before the 6 month mark.
