HI, FROM THE INSPECTION VIDEO, TIRES/BRAKES ARE GOOD, FRONT COVERS OIL LEAK - RESEAL/REPLACE $1650+tax. Do you think independent shop can replace front cover at less cost ? Or anyone one has wis ?thanks

Not sure if WIS for this job is posted on this site.
It’s tricky because of low torque aluminum screws, careful cleaning of the magnesium parts without damaging them, and special MB adhesive (no gasket).

Like Chassis said this was a defect form the factory on the left and right bank. When you take it off, clean it before applying the new sealer. I'm waiting to do my serpentine belt. I think this is the best time to do it. I'm not sure if you can reuse the same bolts are you need to get new bolts.
If you can't do the work. I would take it to indy shop that specialize in Mercedes
