2016 GLE350 Cam Sensor Issues

2016 GLE350 Cam Sensor Issues
MB Noob here 
I'm looking at a '16 GLE350 which the dealer nearby just took in -- they're currently following up on a CEL and I was told they're looking at a "cam or timing sensor." I'm assuming this is the camshaft position sensor issue that I've read about on these engines. From what I've read, it sounds like this issue is a "when, not if" sort of thing. If I move forward, I'd be pushing for all the sensors to be replaced, along with harness/ECU being checked. Is there anything else worth checking on as a result of that issue, or a reason for it to be a deal breaker in and of itself? It appears that doing the sensor replacement itself isn't all that difficult if one had to, though obviously the harness/ECU issues I've read about are more involved.
