Hey! 2017 GLE 350. It's time to replace the belt tensioner as the belt was tracking to the front edge of the pulley. I ordered an OEM Gates part from a reputable source often recommended on this forum and there seems to be a wobble in the pulley when running, so I took it off and with some finesse you can feel a wee bit of a wobble when moving the pulley laterally. I tried a second Gates tensioner, and there is similar movement. I have not yet installed it. I put the old one back on and there is a slight wobble as well, but the part is 8 years old. Is this normal for Gates, normal for tensioners in general, or are these two new samples just bad parts?
