Just went through the update and worked flawlessly! Took an hour...58 minutes to be exact. I was hoping I was able to get speed limit overlay on the nav screen with the update but apparently I need the traffic assist package. But other than that, my house now shows up as a real address and my neighborhood shows all the streets. lol. Thanks again!

I think your decision to use the word "discrimination" deserves some sort of honorable mention.
According to the Oxford Dictionary, and other sources, Discrimination is the unfair or prejudicial treatment of people and groups based on characteristics such as race, gender, age, or sexual orientation.
Last time I looked at my car, I saw it as a car, a piece of metal and combined with fantastic engineering, gets me from point A to point B. Furthermore, the term "newbie" and the more important "joined" date, shows you probably joined this forum only to request for a free license key and not contribute anything to the forum or the general MB community.
The likelihood that a "MBWorld Fanatic" (or a member that's been around for a while), to give some value to this forum is very high! Therefore it results in respect and appreciation and so me, @trigital , or others would be more inclined to send license keys for map updates to them as a thank you, and not to "newbies" who come here JUST for something free.
Map license keys are not free, our time is not free. NTG4.5 is older, sure, but it still required a lot of work so that the license keys can be generated outside of MB.
If you want to update your navigation, you can google online for Mercedes Navigation Update Pin generators, and purchase a key, like many people tend to do.

I did some research on this and it seems like for my car to code traffic sign assist, I would need to have some hardware. I think mainly the multifunction camera that sits behind the windshield. Just from a visual I don't think I have it? I have a front camera that sits in in the grill. Also my understanding is that the camera came with distronic (which I don't have) but might have come with it if I have 360 camera/surround view and park assist (which I do have). Is there a definitive way to tell if I have the necessary hardware to code in Traffic sign assist?
You can start decoding your VIN to find out what you have as options on your car
Of course, the camera in the windshield is needed for someone to read the signs.

Yes, for NA the V17 is the latest version for your car.
After you successfully download the Map from DLM Software and your car recognizes the USB asking for the Activation Code, you are entitled to receive a Free Activation Code here from MBRetrofit.
