1st, download the Download_Manager_COMAND_Hard-disc_navigation
2nd, put in a usb in pc and formatted as screen shows.
3rd, Patiently and wait for download to be finished. (It depends on your internet it may take 30-60mins)
4th, Put your usb in front car usb console.
5th, either have car running or have a battery maintainer it will take 30-mins to 60mins.
6th put in a map pin and wait for installation to be finished.

With all my respect, but that's not a good solution in your case.

Carplay can added only by original SW, no need to add Christmas tree Chinese cables in your car

Also the Map update is at the user level, you don't have to do anything computer'ish


Anyway, why did you ask for all that information of you are willing to lower your car value installing Chinese non- automotive standard interface?

MB maps are free on DLM - Mercedes Download Manager for most of the models.

The Activation code is also needed and I can provide free codes for members but only for models with Command from NTG3.5 till NTG5.5.
