Wheel Replacement

Basically, my friend is traveling and he has a GLC 300 which he recently bought new wheels, which are Michelin 235/55/19 which he said cost him around 2.5 K so I have a GLE 350 model year 2016 my GLE basically has wheels which are 255/50/19 so he said if you want he can give me the wheels for free with the rims so what do you think I mean they’re both 19 after all, but like only difference is the first number will it really has that much of a difference? What do you think?

i read in some formums that a guy who has a GLE which has fitted wheels which are 235/55/19 and it was pretty much good so what do you think will affect anything will affect my driving I’m talking about safety smoothness everything. What do you think

thanks guys ❤️

Generally speaking, if the lug bolt pattern is the same, and the rim width, offset and backspacing are the same, it's no problem at all. You'll also have to consider overall tire/rim diameter to ensure an accurate speedometer and odometer.

I grabbed this screenshot from a tire comparison website
