Does anyone know possible production dates for the GLE43 Full SUV? I configured a GLE43W4 at a MB dealership but was told production dates have not been established. I was also surprised to see the base price of the car at $67,150. Hope this doesn't change. Sorry GLE400 owners, I'm not trying to rub it in, just surprised.

Have you ever had a pano roof?
They look great but they are HOT (I even tinted my last and only one but it was still not)! It has a thin screen that covers the glass (unlike a normal sunroof) and it just doesn't keep the heat out very well.
Just some FYI if you didn't know.

WTF! a fully loaded GLE 400 is way more than fully loaded GLE 43C. What will a fully loaded 2017 GLE 43 SUV cost? Thought the Coupe was higher with the same options.

Pana roof is really nice to have, especially for rear passengers. Also, future resale, I would think dealers/buyers will choose one with over without.

I did. Each vehicle has the very same options regardless of Premium Package price. More items are standard on the Coupe and when you add those standard items to the SUV it's price is so much more. That's why I was shocked.

I agree. It was the crummy liner that kept me away from the Pano. My sister's Infinity SUV has a more solid cover for the pano roof, and it operates better too, as it retracts front to back. The Mercedes retracts to the middle, and you cannot open just the front.

Ditto. THe wife and I agreed no Panorama roof ever again. Looks nice but terribly thin and the car becomes a sauna in seconds. Doesn't keep the heat nor the sun out at all. This was an option i regret getting.

Looks like I have a scheduled production date of January 2nd 2017 for my GLE43 Full size SUV. I noticed the night package option went up from $300 to $750. Fingers crossed the production date sticks.

I certainly hope this long awaited GLE43 SUV has the AMG Performance Exhaust option. The C43 has it for $1,250 but I'm totally surprised to see that the GLE43 Coupe, the GLC43 nor the SLC43 have the option.
I've been awaited the GLE43 SUV launch but without that - Deal Breaker for me!

Pricing and options for GLE 43
What I would order is as follows - small list:
Leather interior - I'm assuming comes standard
(thinking of getting the crystal gray)
Metallic paint (black, brilliant blue, or diamond silver)
P2 (only if required to get LED high beams) - or is this standard on this one?
Parking assist
None of the dealers here even told me I could order one now - on East Coast. Maybe they would rather I just order an GLE 400.
Also, were you able to get a decent discount off MSRP?
Were you able to drive one anywhere?
