Have you updated to the latest version? Not for sure if you're on Andriod or Apple, but I'm Android, and the latest appears to be much quicker, and has the widget feature which is really really slick. I've already used the widget several times, and it works very well and very quickly...

I use version 2.5 on an iPhone and there is no widget. Remote start success is vastly improved, as is overall app functioning. Progress, it seems.

Gosh all these diferent apps are so confusing at this point. And why can't the new mercdes me Connect app work on cars prior to 2019?
So, I used to be able to use the "mercedes companion" app to see FULE, tire pressure, location, etc.. that app doesn't really seem to work anymore and the Mercedes ME app doesn't offer any of those features. Is there something one needs to do to get more features back?

For those still using the Mercedes ME app, you can start your vehicle using you Apple iWatch. Also lock and unlock your doors and locate your vehicle.
Also it's been very reliable.
Note that the new Mercedes Connect app is not compatible with the Apple iWatch. That is for vehicles 2019+. Hopefully that will be available soon.
Set the upper right complication to Mercedes Me
You can select which vehicle you wish to start, or check it's location, lock or unlock your doors...from your watch!

HOW?
I'm pretty tech savvy but haven't figured out the siri shortcuts to remote start using Mercedes connect. Can you help?

Its been several years since I set that up, but I think in the app you can go to your vehicle and then below it there was a spot for a button that said siri shortcuts. From there you just select the action and what the keyword was. "Hey siri, start my benz"
I'm not able to give you specific directions because I no longer have my car that used the Mercedes Me application. My new car uses Mercedes Me Connect (2020 model year and up).
The new app does not support siri shortcuts that i'm aware. Sorry!
