Horse Power increase
Here is the MY18 GLE order guide shared by forum member Longslim. Notice on page 28 and 29, the horse power for GLE 43 SUV will be increased to 385hp. Will GLE43 Coupe adapt to the new horse power rating? it would be weird a sportier version actually has less power, right?

on page 28, it says 385 hp, but on page 47, it says 362 Hp. weird.

I think Mercedes will **** off a lot of GLE43 Coupe owners if they make any changes on the GLE 43 SUV's HP.
If they make Coupe less powerful, that's not good. if they raise it to be the same as GLE43 SUV @ 385hp, all existing Coupe owners will be pissed off, too.
MY2016 - first year debute GLE450
MY2017 - name change to GLE43 AMG
MY2018 - HP increase
its moving too fast for car industry

Page 28 and page 47 have 385hp and 362hp respectively. However, the torque on both pages says 384 lb-ft. Therefore, that 385 is likely a misprint.

Do you guys not see on page 29 where it says what's new:
AMG-Enhanced 3.0L V6 biturbo engine power increase to 385 hp (GLE 43)
I doubt they would put in a whole sentence about increasing the hp if it was a simple typo. More likely the last specs table that still says 362hp was just a copy and paste from last years ordering guide.
HP increases are fairly common in the last year of a vehicles production run as a way to get people to buy instead of waiting for the new model.

1. how come MB doesn't just use E43 engine?
2. the torque number is still the same?
Well, either way, MB messed up.

E43's HP is rated at 396hp, but the torque is the same as GLE43 at 384lb-ft. So they can change the horse power with the torque.

its on the MBUSA.com. the HP for 2018 GLE43 and GLE43 Coupe is 385
https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/vehic.../bodystyle-CPE
But the 0-60 time is still the same.

I noticed that too. No biggy. If the torque and 0-60 times are the same, I don't really care. Besides, the wife's neck snaps back enough in Sport + as it is.

People always say this, yet it won't mean a thing. New buyers coming in will buy and old owners will just have to get over it. Cars get power increases all the time. Why do you guys here think this is going to cause some big problem or issue?
