Call me crazy but i want to experiment w a 20” setup
Love the GLE43, mainly my wife’s daily. Love the factory 22’s, but I think a 20” setup would perfect for daily driving/comfort. 335’s in the rear are a bit excessive, and I surely am not looking forward to paying for new tires....
I know I’d have to go with something custom, but any thoughts/or experience with a 20” setup? Had a really great experience with the Cooper Zeon LTZ tire on a previous SUV and noticed they offered both a 285/50/20 and 305/50/20 fitment.
She’s already curbed her wheels and I know for a fact these chunky tires will give her max protection from them curbs. These cars are wide, and so I can’t really blame her, only try to figure out a solution. Attaching a pic of my previous setup w the Cooper LTZ tires (when fully dropped on the factory air suspension. Never drove around at this height, but was the first pic I found online) :
I have 21” set up with all seasons. It they too have the 335’s in the rear. A lot of rear jumping and some hydroplaning. A thinner rear would be welcome.
