New tires already? GLE 63 Coupe

I have 8500 miles on my GLE 63 Coupe and the dealer is telling me I will need new tires at 10,000 miles. This seems unheard of? He said they go through tires every 10 to 12 thousand miles. This can’t be for real!

Only MBs - the best or nothing
Yes that is correct. OEM summer UHP tires (with UTQG of 300 or less) do not last more than 10K miles on GLE63(ML63) or GLS63(GL63).

On my ML63 21" OEM Pirelli PZero summer max performance tires (220 UTQG) were replaced at exactly 8K miles. "Downgraded" to 20" Pirelli Scorpion Zero A/S plus (500 UTQG) - handling on the street is good (of course not as good as grippier summer compound OEM tires), while providing much more compliant ride (both due to taller profile and narrower width). After 4K miles, the thread appears as deep as when new. Based on this I expect not less than 30K miles. If not available in your wheels size, consider going -1 on wheel/tire package.

Has anyone tried the Nittos in the OEM 22 inch size yet ? They are all season tires.

A good cheaper alternative to Michelin and Pirelli are Continental..

Any feedback on them ?
I don't use mine in the winter enough to justify buying a complete winter tire/wheel setup.
Im just looking for something all season instead of just a summer tire.

They perform as equally as the Continental Cross Contact LX Sport I had on prior to these for snow/rain. Nitto are sticker and have more traction in the dry vs the Cross Contact though.

I don't drive much in winter (snow) either mostly rain (PNW) and these handle the rain well. The light snow I have been in has been fine also since this has snow mode as well.
